# Rate Limits

Our API uses rate limiting to ensure stability and prevent abuse of the platform.

We may occasionally reduce the rate limit as part of incident response to protect our other systems. This means that you should be prepared to receive `429` responses specific to rate limiting and handle it appropriately in your application, even if you do not intend to hit the limits.
